LaVerne Steah

LaVerne is a member of the Navajo Tribe from Chinle, Arizona. She has lived and worked in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the past 25 years and worked for the BLM for the past 19 years, beginning as a stay-in-school student in the Utah State BLM Office. She was appointed a Realty Specialist in the Salt Lake Field Office in 1992, working there until 1997 when she returned to the Utah State Office to work as a Realty Specialist/Special Project Manager. In 2000, she moved to the BLM Washington Office as a National Project Manager. She presently works in a BLM field office mentoring a new realty specialist and helping that office catch up on their backlog of work.
