URGENT - Updated SAIGE Conference Transportation Information!

Please read the entire message below.

1) When you arrive at either the Providence or Hartford Airport look for the SAIGE / Mohegan Sun Sign by baggage claim, that is where your shuttle service will meet you.

2) We only have half of our registered conference attendees who have requested shuttle service. This seems low. If you did not get confirmation for your shuttle service please see below and check with Gary Baker at the Mohegan Sun. You will need to send him an e-mail with your arrival and departure time, airport and a cell phone number.

a. Any shuttle request received after tomorrow (THURSDAY) by noon (Eastern time) will not be guaranteed.
b. If attendees have not made a shuttle reservation and they show up at the airport and request to be put on a shuttle they will be accommodated on a space available basis. If they cannot fit on an existing shuttle and we need to send a secondary one they will be charged the full rate of $60 (plus 20% gratuity) each way.
c. The taxi companies in the area typically charge between $6-12 each way from the local hotels for up to three people. I know the hotels have shuttles but we do not operate those so we cannot tell you when or if they will run at the times specified by the attendees.

Our concern is that guests are going to show up without a shuttle reservation and possibly without a guest room reservation and if that happens we have no way of charging them for transportation. Also, if a guest shows up with a spouse, partner, co-worker, etc. who is not on the shuttle list then the person registered will be charged for an additional person. Based on the pattern of guest room and shuttle reservations we anticipate that this will happen. We will certainly try to accommodate guests where and when we can but we cannot be held responsible if a guest did not take the time to plan ahead.
